MUNCIE GIRLS ANNOUNCE HEADLINE LONDON SHOW THIS WEEK

Exeter’s MUNCIE GIRLS have announced a bunch of UK headline shows in April / May, alongside previously-announced festival appearances and a few shows supporting LOS CAMPESINOS! Only recently returned from a trip entertaining the folks of SXSW in Austin Texas, MUNCIE GIRLS have also announced a special last minute show this very Friday to celebrate the newly-reopened Sebright Arms in London.

MUNCIE GIRLS’ debut album From Caplan To Belsize was released in 2016 and reached the upper echelons of many an end of year highlights list, including the Top 20 in Kerrang! and Number 1 in Upset Magazine. The AV Club also cited the album in their Best Music of 2016 So Far mid-year feature. The band played Glastonbury, Download Festival, Reading and Leeds, SWN, Groezrock and The Great Escape, amongst a whole host of headline shows and support slots. They were nominated for a Kerrang! Award for Best British Newcomer, shortlisted for the Drowned In Sound Neptune Music Prize and have had their music played on the likes of BBC Radio 1, as well as appearing on German TV show Circus Halli Galli alongside ROBBIE WILLIAMS.

Most recently, the album received a second pressing courtesy of Specialist Subject and Uncle M Records and MUNCIE GIRLS kicked off their 2017 with some headline shows and a support slot on select dates with TAKING BACK SUNDAY and FRANK IERO, much to audiences’ delight. The band also recently released a brandnew demo titled Five Miles to raise money for their beloved hometown venue The Cavern following a devastating fire.
