TRACK OF THE WEEK, MAY 7TH 2017 - ‘RAIN IN SOHO’ 

The victim of our binge-listening this week comes from an album about goths, identity, and ‘finding oneself at sea in a cultural landscape that’s suddenly indecipherable’. It’s called Rain In Soho. It’s quite good. 

Having ditched all guitars for their upcoming sixteenth studio album, THE MOUNTAIN GOATS open with a gloomy behemoth of a track. Complete with backing choir and an ominous beating drum they’ve strayed far from the sunny nostalgia of Beat The Champ, and we couldn’t be more impressed.
