TRACK OF THE WEEK, OCTOBER 15TH 2017 - ‘APPOINTMENTS’

So we took a completely planned, definitely not accidental six-month hiatus from annoying you with our listening habits, but now we’re back! The source of our auditory pleasure this week is the sumptuous Appointments, from singer-songwriter JULIEN BAKER. 

Featured on her hotly anticipated upcoming album Turn Out The Lights, Appointments is a small shift from the sound of her debut. It features more instrumentation, more vocal layers, an overall fuller sound. But underneath all the wonderful extra stuff is still the same glittering lyricism: ‘Nothing turns out like I pictured it / maybe the emptiness is just a lesson in canvases’. 

Perfect for staring out a bus window and pretending you’re in a movie on the way to work, the single is a promising peek into the future. We’re super pumped to see where it ends up.
